Spinning tunnels, gut instincts
Spinning tunnels are a destination for people who seek a thrill by confusing their body. They can either physically spin or create an optical illusion of spinning that causes your brain to believe it’s moving. That belief involves imaginary forces that your body “feels” and reacts to in order to control a sense of balance and equilibrium of the nervous system.
The thing is, you can create your own spinning tunnels without the light show. You can self-create the spinning tunnel with your own illusions and imaginary forces. Clarity that “feels” like control based on belief rather than sight is commonly called a gut instinct. Feelings inspired by trust, and actions as a matter of faith, are forms of “seeing” forces by belief.
Arousing passion is to engage in something that relates to a meaningful and salient self-identity. For your brain to believe what your body feels — imaginary forces, illusions, and reality — explore and define what guides and inspires meaning for you and your life.
For a guided activity you can follow along the steps of GIG’s ‘Rooted Statement’ activity.
Draw an upside down T.
On one side of the vertical line list your core values and beliefs that drive what you do.
On the other side of the vertical line list how you give back, or support others through your daily life, or simply by being who you are.
Under the horizontal line, write what aspects of life are most important to you.
What do you want to experience while you’re alive? What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? “I will….” finish the sentence.
