Move Levels

GIG Design’s Movement and Exercise Catalogue and Galleries includes 650+ movements that are tagged by levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. This system of levels was developed to assist you in determining suitable movements based on your personal capabilities.

Each level takes into account factors such as the span of time regarding regular exercise habits, trunk/core strength, history of injuries or setbacks, and overall health status. Our aim is to guide you towards movements that align with your physical abilities and circumstances.

Beginner is a general level-span for those initiating an exercise routine after 6 or more months of inactivity. Additional considerations: inconsistent walking, stretching, and leisure play (chasing kids, swim, dance, etc.).

Intermediate is a general level-span for those exercising a minimum of 3-times weekly across 6 months or less. Additional considerations: diversifies movements, exercise styles, and intensities.

Advance is a general level-span for those consistently exercising 4 to 6-times weekly across 6+ months. Additional considerations: engages in sports or tasks involving a mix of endurance, agility, coordination.

Each routine is a mix of two or more categories. If you're unsure about which category aligns with your fitness type, we recommend beginning with the most modest level. You can start with one category to understand if it works or not. Then level-up or down, as needed.

If you’re still uncertain then contact us! An enjoyable routine will keep you moving and regulating.
